Otago Polytechnic at a Glance
All programmes at Otago Polytechnic are highly applied, training students for real workplace situations. They are taught through a mix of practical and theoretical skills, and many programmes also include a work experience component.
Otago Polytechnic's main campus is situated in North Dunedin alongside the University of Otago and the Dunedin College of Education and is just five minutes' walk from the centre of town. The Polytechnic also has campuses in Central Otago where it offers specialies programmes in Adventure Tourism, Hospitality, Horticulture and Viticulture.
There are international students from over 25 countries at Otago Polytechnic. All Otago Polytechnic programmes offered to international students are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Otago Polytechnic's academic year begins in February, although some programmes offer an additional July intake. The graduation ceremonies are held in March and December each year.

Families can be assured that, while receiving a world class education at Otago Polytechnic, their loved ones will be safe. Dunedin enjoys one of the lowest incidences of crime of all New Zealand cities. There is a 24 hour security service on campus.
