Aromaflex School New Zealand Aroma, as in Aromatherapy, and Flex, as in Reflexology.
Aromaflex is unique in New Zealand as it is the only school to offer an International Aromatherapy qualification, recognised by IFPA (the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) in Great Britain. That means you can travel with this Diploma to Britain, register with the appropriate bodies and practice under the British National Health System.
Aromaflex is registered as a private training establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments; and Aromaflex is accredited to teach the Diploma of Aromatherapy. The Diploma of Aromatherapy is also recognised by the New Zealand Register of Holistic Aromatherapists. The Diploma of Reflexology is recognised by the New Zealand Institute of Reflexologists.

Upon
opening in October 1995, Aromaflex was the first Aromatherapy Shop to set
up in New Zealand. Shelley, Aromaflex Principal, kept accurate records at
the time of establishment and recalls that some essential oil suppliers
would not supply Aromaflex at first, as they had never heard of anyone
wanting to open an exclusive Aromatherapy shop.
Aromaflex
is New Zealand's first private training establishment to offer
International IFPA courses and National NZQA framework accredited local
courses on Aromatherapy. We also offer a Diploma in Reflexology
Certificate courses on Anatomy and Physiology, Aromatherapy correspondence
courses (Aroma Science) and one day workshops.
Shelley
conceptualised and is today, the sole operator of Aromaflex. Running
between the shop, doing treatments and teaching, she now employs six staff
who help with the day to day business of Aromaflex. They have all been
students who have graduated or are completing their Aromatherapy Diploma.
