LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

New Zealand

TE KURA TUARUA O WAIHORA

Lincoln High School is a modern, multi-course, co-educational High School.
For fifty years it has served a large number of communities on the southern and western borders of Christchurch.

The school is able to offer all the advantages of a city high school in a pleasant and spacious rural environment.

Excellent facilities are available for a wide range of sporting and cultural activities.
Courses and activities offered to students are constantly being revised and updated.

We pride ourselves on the very wide range of courses we offer, many of which are directly linked to courses in tertiary institutions. Individual counselling is provided for each student, to ensure that appropriate courses are selected.

  • Situated in a safe rural environment
  • In a small township only 20km from Christchurch City
  • Close to leading education and research centres
  • Prepares students for tertiary education at any of New Zealand's Universities (including Lincoln University) or Polytechnics
  • All the advantages of a city school
  • Highly qualified staff
  • An extremely wide range of subjects
  • Entry for International students to Year 11-13 preferred (Forms 5-7)
  • As all lessons are in English, students need an understanding which is sufficient to allow them to study in English.
  • Lincoln High School is a modern co-educational high school for young men and women. It sets very high standards for its 1100 students who achieve excellent results in external examinations.

Demand for places is high and early application is advised.

The school deliberately limits the number of places for international students in order to provide a quality individual service.

At Lincoln High School you will be well educated and cared for in a safe, secure and structured environment.

Because of our excellent reputation, we are able to employ teachers of the highest calibre.

    Accommodation

Homestay accommodation with local families is arranged by the school. This accommodation is carefully monitored for suitability by a homestay co-ordinator. Homestay fees for 2004 are $170 weekly. A homestay administration fee of $430 per year is payable to the school. After one year the homestay administration fee is $130 per year. Students are met at the airport and taken to their accommodation.

    Fees

The fee for the 2004  year is $NZ 11,000. This covers all tuition fees. It entitles you to extra help with the English language. More intensive English tuition can be provided at an extra cost.

    Student Welfare

We believe it is very important to care for our students. A senior staff member (Dean of International Students) is responsible for student welfare. Students meet together regularly with this teacher.
