The New Zealand College of Chiropractic
“As a Chiropractor I love that I am a contributor to people’s wellness. The natural approach to healthcare is the wave of the future and it’s extremely satisfying to be part of it” Year 4 Graduate 2001
Chiropractic is one of the
largest health care professions in the Western World. The philosophy
behind chiropractic is simple and unique. If the spine is functioning
properly, the nerve system will function more effectively. This will allow
the body to work optimally and heal itself. Essentially, Chiropractic is
about helping the body to help itself. THIS IS THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE. Chiropractic is highly flexible. Graduates today have a choice of going into private practice, travelling New Zealand and the world as a locum, working as an associate or undertaking research. Some move into Chiropractic education or health-related professions.
You will graduate with a
Bachelor of Chiropractic after four years of study in areas such as
Anatomy, Philosophy, Chiropractic Science and Technique and extensive
internship. Prior to starting your Bachelor of Chiropractic you will have
completed our pre-requisite courses, either studied as a full time, one
year programme at Auckland University of Technology or at any other
tertiary institution. The New Zealand College of
Chiropractic has one intake per year, in February. To pursue a career in
Chiropractic you must apply for limited places and be selected into the
programme. Application forms are available from the Registrar:
registrar@nzchiro.co.nz
or can be downloaded from our website.
